What does it feel like to own 1,000 Walkmans?
From the 1979 TPS-L2 to the Sony × Tiffany WM-701T — fifteen years of hunting one model at a time.
"My first Walkman was a birthday gift from my mother when I was in middle school. From then on, it changed my life profoundly, as it allowed me to enjoy the peace and beauty of music all to myself," Dongdong recalled during an official Sony interview.
As a die-hard Sony fan and Walkman collector, Dongdong has been scouring the globe for various models and editions of the Walkman. From the very first Sony Walkman TPS-L2 in 1979 and the vibrant Sony DD series, to the DD QUARTZ built for the pinnacle of sound quality, and even the Sony x Tiffany co-branded WM-701T, every Walkman in his collection serves as Dongdong's tribute to that golden era.
Since 2010, Dongdong has amassed a collection of over 1,000 Walkmans. Collection World is incredibly honored to have played a part in such a monumental endeavor.
Some of these stories predate the name Hobbeex; the customers' own words still refer to us as Collection World.
